The Express Entry system is a key component of Canada’s immigration policy, designed to attract skilled workers who can contribute to the country’s economy. It is a points-based system that assesses applicants based on factors such as age, education, language proficiency, work experience, and other criteria.

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can create an online profile and enter the Express Entry pool, where they are ranked based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The CRS score is calculated based on factors such as education, language proficiency, work experience, and other criteria.

The highest-ranking candidates are then invited to apply for permanent residency through regular draws conducted by the government. Those who receive an invitation to apply (ITA) have 90 days to submit a complete application for permanent residency.

The Express Entry system has been successful in attracting highly skilled workers to Canada, and it has undergone several changes over the years to improve its effectiveness. This includes the introduction of new pathways such as the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and the Global Talent Stream, which are designed to attract international students and skilled workers in the technology sector. Overall, the Express Entry system is an important tool for achieving Canada’s immigration goals and ensuring the country’s economic growth.
